Sugar Roses

Sugar roses look amazing, you do need the right equipment to make them and a lot of patience!

I use sugar florist petal paste which sets really hard and can be rolled out so thinly for the perfect delicate petals!

Big roses like these are lovely on wedding cakes and can be dusted with edible powder dust in any colour.

Each petal is made individually and wired together to create a stunning flower.

Hothorpe Hall Wedding Showcase

Fancy some cake? ... I will be at Hothorpe halls wedding showcase on Sunday 11th March with some tasty samples.

Designing your own Wedding Cake - Things to know

Consider the kind of cake you would like, sponge or fruit, its popular to have a combination of both and in various flavours vanilla, lemon and chocolate being the favourites but beware your guests may want to sample a piece of each!

Match the colour scheme of your wedding to be incorporated into your cake design, you can always go for contrasting colours which look striking.

Vintage, contemporary or show stopping - make your wedding cake stand out from the crowd and show your individuality.

Christmas Cake Decorating

More teaching today, this time for the HSBA networking group in Market Harborough.  We had great fun making snowmen and various decorations for the cakes, everyone really enjoyed themselves and produced some fantastic cakes! I will post more pictures of the finished results when I get them!
